wish my life didn't solely revolve around going to work, puttering around on the internet for a few hours, sleep, repeat. half feel like i'm being punished for something by being assigned night shift for 90% of each month. while i understand my other two managers i work with have kids/families it's like. yes but i would also like to have a night life.

even if that night life, even in the before time, was watching a stream live so that i could interact with people i do like outside of a work environment.

the other week i went through book i again to get a refresher on how askr/embla and the gates worked and had forgotten that veronica had a conversation with seth (who she was forcing to fight against erika and ephriam) and while it was mostly insight into how the "contracts" worked (which, lol, have only been loosely used since book i) it also made me extremely want the jagen characters to be veronica's teachers. even if for only a brief time.

(as much as i loathe fates, using xander to hang out with veronica and be a massive dick really works out for me)

tl;dr someday i'll write another canon divergence where veronica accidentally gets a bunch of parents and then gets Conflicted about fighting them (though she's still down for annihilating sharena and alfonse off of the face of the planet)
